As part of their ‘Christmas Journey Day’ activities, children throughout the school have been exploring the significance of Christmas traditions.
Peregrine Class studied Christmas around the World. They looked at lamps, linked to traditions in the Philippines, and then made poinsettia flowers related to studies of Mexican traditions.
Mayfly Class made paper craft decorations as part of their Journey Day tasks. They chose symbols linked to characters from the Nativity.
Robin Class also considered Christmas around the World. They developed their own lamps and then thought about how the tradition of Christmas cards developed from its origins in the UK.
